What It Is

The founders of World Art Day, the International Association of Art (IAA), aim to unite people and communities annually through various forms, such as drawing, writing, or digital. Additionally, the day allows people to recognize communal artists and their actions for their communities. The theme in 2024 was “A GARDEN OF EXPRESSION: Cultivating Community through Art”.

How to Participate in World Art Day

To participate in World Art Day, participants can take to social media using the hashtag “#iaausa” or by tagging the account “@iaausa” in a post featuring any art form. Alternatively, artwork can be submitted to the IAA USA website.

What’s more, artists can share their art within their communities. Local artists help to beautify their neighborhoods by adding creativity to each corner. People can also visit art exhibitions, museums, galleries, or other cultural events to celebrate the day.

World Art Day helps to uplift people of different communities, cultures, and backgrounds. People can learn how to support artists near them by advocating for art worldwide. Uplifting artists’ voices help to create more vibrant neighborhoods, and potentially a world.
