New York Comic Con

New York Comic Con (NYCC) is an annual convention held for 4 days in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center. At NYCC, convention goers can go to:

  • Artist Alley, where creators sell their pieces and gain commissions
  • Panels, organized by celebrities, creators, voice actors, or fans discussing movies, TV shows, anime, and more
  • Gaming Zone, where gamers can engage in tournaments or competitions alongside other players or alone
  • Exhibitors, where vendors big and small can sell their products or merchandise

New York Comic Con is an opportunity for people of all likes and interests to convene, even for the sake of dressing up as a character, or cosplaying.

Anime NYC

Held in the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center, Anime NYC is an annual 3 day event. It is sponsored by Crunchyroll, Aniplex, VIZ, and other notable pop culture names. At Anime NYC, guests can go to panels, screenings, and events featuring guests from America and Japan. These guests can be anime or manga publishers, or even character voice actors. The convention features exhibits for merchandise or self made products, and massive booths for notable names in media.

Anime Expo

In Los Angeles, Anime Expo is 4 days long and packed with content. Like other conventions, they have an Artist Alley, panels, and exhibitors. But, what sets them apart is their concerts. Annually, they have Japanese pop artists sing at the convention. In addition to that, Anime Expo also holds exclusive premieres, showcasing new anime movies, anime OVAs (Original Video Animation), and episodes directly from Japan.

Conventions give people a place to share their interests. Although one day is fun as is, going to all of the days gives convention goers a unique experience every time.
