HATSUNE MIKU: COLORFUL STAGE! is a rhythm game centered around Vocaloid (Virtual Singers), helping groups in the game discover their true feelings for music. The groups are as such: Leo/Need, MORE MORE JUMP!, Vivid BAD SQUAD, Wonderlands x Showtime, and Nightcord at 25:00. The vocaloids used for the game are Hatsune Miku, Megurine Luka, Kagamine Rin, Kagamine Len, MEIKO, and KAITO,

Players can witness the progression of characters through the main, event, and side stories within the game. By playing Live Shows, players can unlock the main and event stories. Upgrading character cards unlocks side stories. Gacha, a digital feature, provides players with character cards in exchange for in-game currency. During Live Shows, players select a song and play to a beat map containing flick, tap, and hold notes. Playing live shows during an active event enables players to earn event points and climb the leaderboard. Moreover, players can acquire and exchange event tokens in the Event Exchange shop.

Ensemble Stars

Ensemble Stars is a rhythm game with 51 characters. Each character belongs to its own unit. These units are: fine, Trickstar, RYUSEITAI, ALKALOID, Eden, Valkyrie, 2wink, Crazy: B, UNDEAD, Ra*bits, AKATSUKI, Knights, Switch, MaM, and Double Face.

In Ensemble Stars, players can participate in Live shows to a song with a beat map. These songs have 4 play modes: Easy, Normal, Hard, and Expert. The kinds of notes in Lives are tap notes, flick notes, long and slide notes, skill notes, and Ensemble Notes (rainbow-colored notes allow players to receive cutscenes of a character during a song). Through this, players can level up their character cards. Character cards have different rarities. Depending on it, it can be upgraded or “bloomed” to unlock a new character image.
